Book Summary

The Heart of Blackbeard

Blackbeard’s last home was the tiny port of Bath, North Carolina, where he married a local girl, Marybeth. After Captain Thache took the King’s Pardon, he considered his pirating days were over. He was wrong.

Everyone in Bath had hopes and plans for Edward Thache. Colonel Eden figured a pirate’s ship could be useful to the citizens. And other local lawmen, even his Ocracoke crew, had ideas of how things should run.

While the Captain’s trusted servant, Caesar, was loyal, his first mate, Israel Hands, held personal ambitions over the good of others. And most of these conflicting plans did not put a high priority on the welfare of Thache’s wife.

Walk with time travelers Aurora, Drake, and Ody Saunters as they stand by Blackbeard and his bride, Marybeth, in the chaotic weeks leading to the pirate’s last battle.

What readers say about the book🧐

This book of the Saunters being able to transport to the past and back is wonderfully written. I fell in love with Blackbeard. I had tears knowing he will die. I wanted Saunters to take him and his family to the future to save them all.
