What readers say about the book🧐

Initially bought this out of curiosity as John Platts was a teacher at the school I went to - Set in the 1800's it describes the hard life of the Cornish miners with a little bit of excitement, smuggling & romance thrown in. Coming from the area it was set in I was also able to imagine the scenes and found it to be a page turner from the beginning. I enjoyed it so much I purchased the follow on story - Jan Pendray in America. Go to the top of the class Mr Platts :-)
